Highlights

The top companies in the Irish energy and utilities industry in terms of estimated IT spending spent the largest portion of their IT budgets on services, a segment that accounted for about 25% of the IT budgets among these firms. This was followed by spending on software and hardware.

Among the top companies, a major portion of IT spending is allocated to external IT. Product vendor alone accounted for 22% of the total estimated IT spending by these companies. Electricity Supply Board remained the leading company in terms of spending on the various channels, followed by Viridian Group Holdings Limited and Bord Gais Eireann.
