Esprit Holdings Ltd. (Esprit) is engaged in the retail and wholesale distribution of merchandise and apparels under the ESPRIT brand; and of cosmetic and body care products under the Red Earth brand. The group operates over 600 directly managed retail stores and over 13,000 controlled-space wholesale points-of-sale internationally; it occupies over 867,000 square meters of retail space in more than 40 countries. Esprit distributes its accessories and apparels through three distribution channels: wholesale, retail, and licensing and others. The group has teamed up with MTV to promote its 'edc' brand through a multi-national promotional campaign to be launched in Europe and the Asia Pacific region in the first half of 2008. Esprit has shown a strong operating performance, which is evident from its cash flows. The group's cash from operation has increased exponentially from HK$2,718 million in 2005 (approximately $347.7 million) to HK$5,881 million (approximately $752.3 million) in 2007, at a CAGR of 47%.
